Error: Network Overused

2024-06-17

Means that there are more than x devices connected to the same network with the active EARN app. This is the maximum number of devices supported per network/IP of the EARN network. Don't worry about this error, because if one of your other devices gets disconnected from the network for some reason, the device with this error message will appear. However, there are measures you can take to fix this error message:

Make sure there are no more than 1 device connected to your network/IP.

Connect the overused device to a different network/IP, such as a mobile network or a different WiFi connection.

Check the list of devices connected through your WiFi router for any unauthorized devices connected to your network.

Note that if you get this error while connected to a public network or some kind of VPN connection, there may be other users using EARN as well.

If you are assigned a dynamically changing IP address, try restarting your router as this may cause your ISP to assign you a different IP address that is not shared with other clients.

If the suggestions provided do not solve your problem and you are sure that the number of devices is not exceeding the limit, it is possible that your ISP has assigned you an IP address that is already in use/in use. Since there are a limited number of IPv4 addresses worldwide and the number of free (unused) IPv4 addresses is running out, some ISPs assign the same IP address to multiple users, which may be the case with your account. If the same IP address is assigned to multiple people and these people are also using earn, the "Network Overused" error message will appear because there will be more than two devices on the same IP address for multiple accounts.

In this case, you need to contact your ISP directly and request a new IP address that is not assigned to anyone else.
